ALERG ÎN DUMBRAVĂ

Alerg în Dumbravă is a social, sporting and charitable event that promotes outdoor running and a healthy lifestyle. It takes place in Homu Forest, north of the village of Glogoveanu, Dâmbovița County. The event includes marathon, half-marathon and cross-country races dedicated to the memory of local figures, offering an experience immersed in nature on accessible trails and dirt roads. Recreational activities such as Latin dancing and a campfire add to the atmosphere, creating a warm and welcoming community. Now in its seventh edition, the long-running event also supports an important social cause by helping Mia’s Children Association.

The event includes children’s races “In Memoriam” Professor Liviu Marinescu, Latin dancing and a campfire (weather permitting). Participants must send proof of payment of the entry fee by email or WhatsApp. The fee can also be paid by bank transfer or Revolut. The routes are accessible, with no major difficulties and no asphalt or concrete. The event is dedicated to the memory of local figures and supports Mia’s Children Association. Routes include a half-marathon (21 km), cross-country race (10 km) and children’s races (4.2 km), with staggered starts and social and cultural activities.
