Cluj Running Festival

Cluj Running Festival is an international road-running event held in the heart of Cluj, bringing together elite athletes, thousands of amateur runners, and children. The festival combines competitive sport with the joy of movement and the energy of the city, offering a flat, fast course ideal for runners of all levels. The event includes races for children, open 5 km and 10 km races, and an elite race featuring top international athletes. Cluj-Napoca, a young and active city, provides the perfect setting for this celebration of running.

Children’s races take place on Saturday, June 27, and adult and elite races on Sunday, June 28. Children’s distances: 800 m (ages 6–9), 1,200 m (ages 10–13), 3,000 m (ages 13–15). Amateur races: 5 km (minimum age 14), 10 km (minimum age 16). The event is organized by the team behind Brașov Running Festival. All participants in the children’s races receive medals and surprises. The event includes children’s races, open categories, and an international elite competition with a World Athletics label; it takes place in Cluj-Napoca and promotes urban running.
