Cros Montan Traversare Igniș

Traversare Igniș is a traditional mountain running competition, now in its 17th edition, bringing together runners and mountain lovers from across the region. The event offers two races in an authentic mountain setting, with substantial elevation gain and spectacular scenery. The courses include a 14 km Cross with 1,000 m of positive elevation gain and a Half Marathon of approximately 23 km with 1,450 m of positive elevation gain. Participants receive a race kit, access to hydration points, and medical support. The finish is at Pensiunea Mountain Pearl.

The start is at Podul Berdu, in the Ferneziu neighborhood, at the base of Lake Firiza. The routes are marked with ribbons, signs, and paint. The race kit includes a chip-equipped bib, T-shirt, medal, access to refreshment points, medical support, and a guide. The finish is at Pensiunea Mountain Pearl, the event’s main partner. The courses are on mountain terrain. Registration closes on June 9, 2026. Participation includes a kit with a bib, T-shirt, medal, and hydration points. The event takes place on June 20, 2026.
