GLS Night Cross Challenge ~ 2026

Night Cross Challenge powered by GLS is the most beautiful night cross-country race in Romania, reaching its 12th edition in 2026. The event takes place at the Dumbrava Sibiului Open-Air Museum, offering participants a unique running experience on marked courses after dark. Adult races are available over 4.5 km and 9 km, as well as children’s races over 500 m, 1,000 m and 1,300 m. The competition is open to all age categories from 5 to 75 years, with prizes for the open category winners in the 9 km race.

The maximum number of participants is limited: 150 in the children’s races, 300 in the 4.5 km race and 300 in the 9 km race. Race kits are handed out after signing a declaration of personal responsibility, which will be sent by email and must be brought signed when collecting the kit. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third place across the 22 men’s and women’s categories. The event includes outdoor trail races and prizes for the top performers, and takes place at locations such as the Open-Air Museum, the Zoo and Astra Museum. Registration is online, and the event promises an experience full of energy and fun.
