Transylvania 100

Transylvania 100 is a mountain running event offering five different races, from a half marathon to a 100 km ultramarathon, held in the Bucegi Mountains. The routes cross narrow trails, ancient forests, mountain plateaus and exposed ridgelines, with numerous climbs and descents, all starting and finishing at Bran Castle, in the shadow of the legendary Dracula. The event is recognised as a UTMB Index race and promotes values such as respect, solidarity and self-sufficiency in mountain running. Participants must have prior mountain-running experience for the longer races, and everyone who finishes within the time limits receives a special souvenir.

SportHG technical T-shirts are available until 1 May 2026, after which they will be replaced by neck warmers. Participation limits and prior experience are mandatory for races over 20 km. All races are solo, with strict self-sufficiency rules between checkpoints. The event includes races for different experience levels, with prizes for winners and medals for all finishers. Participation requires trail-running experience, and registration is online, with limited places.
