TTR BACKYARD ULTRA ~ 2026

TTR BACKYARD ULTRA 2026 is an official endurance running competition organized by the TIME TRIAL RUNNING community, with the support of Chiajna Town Hall and local parishes. The event takes place in the village of Roșu, Chiajna commune, on April 17, 2026, starting at 14:00 at the sports hall of “Doamna Chiajna” Technological High School. It is a unique Backyard Ultra race, with a single 6.706 km event alternating between two different courses, one by day and one by night. The challenge is to complete the course in under 60 minutes and be present for every hourly start; the last competitor remaining in the race is declared the winner.

The race starts on the hour, every hour, and participants must complete the course in under 60 minutes to continue. The base camp includes indoor facilities (the sports hall, with changing rooms and toilets) and outdoor space (the park with synthetic grass). Food and hydration are available in the start/finish area, and hot meals will be served according to the schedule. Awards go to the winner (Last One Standing), second place (Assist), and the highest-placed woman (Last Woman Standing). Each participant receives a personalized trophy at the finish. The event features courses along the shores of Lake Morii and the Chiajna promenade, is limited to 100 competitors, and offers hot meals and personalized trophies.
