Turnu Roșu Challenge

Turnu Roșu Challenge is a mountain running competition held on marked trails in Turnu Roșu and on the hills at the foot of the Făgăraș Mountains, offering a spectacular natural setting and a challenge for all levels of fitness. The event includes three races: a half marathon of 21 km, an 11 km cross-country race, and a 7 km hike, each adapted for different types of participants, from experienced to those seeking a relaxing experience. Organizers emphasize safety, recovery, and socialization, providing facilities such as stretching sessions, post-run massages, camping, and activities for children. It is an excellent opportunity to enjoy nature, sport, and community in Sibiu County.

Participants receive a medal, race number, optional T-shirt for an additional cost, meal voucher, and carbohydrate gel. After the race, regenerative massage and stretching sessions are offered. The night before the competition, camping with a campfire and outdoor movie is organized. There is a painting workshop for children during the race. The routes include technical descents and pass through picturesque areas, making them ideal for mountain trail running enthusiasts.
