Urlea Super Vertical

Urlea Super Vertical is an extreme mountain race set amid the wild landscapes of the Făgăraș Mountains, offering a unique vertical running experience and an intense descent. It is Romania’s first and only up-and-down relay, where one partner climbs while the other descends, adding an innovative and spectacular element to the competition. The 12 km course, with 1,833 m of elevation gain, tests runners’ endurance and technique across forest roads, woodland trails and alpine pastures. The event is for those seeking pure adrenaline and an intense mountain challenge, with a revolutionary awards system that rewards individual and team performance.

A revolutionary awards system with individual and team rankings, cash prizes for teams, and bonuses for individual performances. The race kit includes a personalized race number (for early registrations), a finisher’s medal engraved in stone, a superlight technical singlet for the first 300 registrants, aid and hydration stations, medical support, and access to educational sessions and workshops. Parking is available for 360 cars. Payment is by bank card only, and registration is valid only after full payment. The event includes race-kit pickup, tent accommodation and accommodation suggestions, as well as the race start and awards ceremony on race day.
