Urlea Super Vertical

Urlea Super Vertical is an extreme mountain race held in the wild landscapes of the Făgăraș Mountains, offering a unique experience of vertical running and intense downhill. It is the first and only up-down relay race in Romania, where one partner climbs and the other descends, adding an innovative and spectacular element to the competition. The 12 km course with a total elevation gain of 1833 meters challenges both the endurance and technique of runners, traversing forest roads, trails through woods, and alpine meadows. The event is dedicated to those seeking pure adrenaline and an intense mountain challenge, with a revolutionary awards system that rewards individual and team performance.

A revolutionary awards system with individual and team rankings, cash prizes for teams, and bonuses for individual performances. The participation kit includes a personalized race number (for early registrations), a engraved finisher medal, a superlight technical tank top for the first 300 registrants, feeding and hydration points, medical assistance, and access to educational sessions and workshops. Parking is available for 360 cars. Payment is made exclusively by bank card, and registration is only valid after full payment. The event includes kit distribution, camping with tents and accommodation suggestions, as well as start and award ceremonies on race day.
