Hațeg Royal Trail

Hațeg Royal Trail is a mountain race held in the picturesque landscape of Hațeg, Hunedoara, offering varied courses for runners of all levels. The event includes a marathon, half marathon, 12 km cross-country race, 6 km race, children’s race, Family Run, and a race for people with special abilities, “I CAN TOO!” The courses pass through forests, hills, and historic sites such as the Royal Hațeg Fortress, offering a technical and spectacular experience. The event is praised for its clear course markings and friendly atmosphere, with attractive prizes and support from the local community.

Race kits can be collected between 18:00 and 20:00 on the day before the race. The 6 km cross-country race, 12 km cross-country race, and half marathon start at 10:00, while the Family Run and “I CAN TOO!” races start at 15:00. Registration for the children’s races and Family Run is also available on site, subject to availability. Due to manufacturing tolerances, runners are advised to choose a T-shirt size smaller than their usual size. The event offers cash prizes and gifts, totaling approximately 30,000 RON in 2025, and promotes ecotourism and outdoor activities in the Hațeg Country area.
