MARATON APUSENI

Maraton Apuseni is an emblematic mountain running event held in the heart of the Apuseni Mountains, offering diverse routes for all tastes and experience levels. Participants can choose between ultramarathon, marathon, half marathon, cross, and a family race, enjoying scenic landscapes, shaded trails, spectacular ridges, and traditional villages. The event celebrates 15 years of tradition and community, organized with passion by the Romanian Alpine Club Cluj Branch. The festival atmosphere and sporting challenge combine to create a memorable outdoor experience.

Ultramarathon start at 05:00. Technical briefings are held for each event. Participation kits are distributed in the days prior and on race day. The event also includes activities for children and families, a party, and an awards ceremony. The routes are ITRA-rated, and some are UTMB Series pre-qualifications. Various routes, volunteer activities, partnerships with sports clubs and local sponsors, and a social impact event for reforestation.
