Race description
Maraton Scaunul Domnului is a challenging mountain race held in the Scaunul Domnului Nature Reserve, near Bistra Mureșului. The event offers several races, including a 42 km marathon with more than 2,100 m of elevation gain, a half marathon, a 10 km cross-country race, as well as races for families and children. The marathon route passes through spectacular scenery, with aid and checkpoint stations, and includes sections of forest road, unmarked trails, and lookout areas. Safety is a priority, with mandatory equipment checks and time limits for each race. The atmosphere is rounded out by an awards ceremony and a bonfire after the race.

Additional information
Race kits can be collected on Friday, June 12, from 17:00 to 23:00, and on Saturday, June 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 for the main races. Mandatory equipment is checked at the start. Each race has time limits and intermediate checkpoints. Competitor parking is arranged on a forest road 1.3 km from the start/finish area. The awards ceremony starts at 18:00, and the Mini MSD ceremony at 17:00, followed by a bonfire. The event also includes family races and mini races, with registration details available on the official website.
