Race description
Stâna de Vale Trail Race is a mountain running competition held in the spectacular landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains, in the Stâna de Vale resort, Bihor County. The event is part of the EMA Off-Road Running 2026 circuit and offers races for all levels, from beginner-friendly routes to challenging mountain ultramarathons. Participants can enjoy well-marked trails, full support along the way, and a friendly atmosphere after the race. The race weekend includes an 8 km vertical race, an 11 km classic race, and a 33 km long race with significant elevation changes.

The event takes place on July 10-11, 2026, with race packets pickup at Hotel Iadolina, Stâna de Vale. The 8K Vertical Race starts on Friday at 10:00 AM, while the 33 km and 11 km races start on Saturday at 08:30 and 09:30 respectively. Organizers provide a meal after the race and a celebration after the awards ceremony. Participation in the EMA circuit requires a valid license for the 35-79 age category. The routes are in mountain terrain, and the event includes timing. Participants can choose between two distances to match their level of preparation.
