Ultrabug

Ultrabug is a fully supported, 3-day ultramarathon held on scenic mountain trails in Romania’s Carpathian Mountains, in the Fundu Moldovei area. The main route covers 100 km across mountain trails, mineral-water streams and villages with a rich culture, and is suitable for all fitness levels, including first-time ultra participants. The event also includes shorter alternative races, such as Marathon XFun, Ultra XFun and Fun Run, offering participants a range of options. After the race, participants are invited to an awards ceremony and a traditional party with local food. Ultrabug is internationally recognised, awards iTRA points and has been voted among the 50 best ultramarathons abroad.

A jacket/hoodie is included only for registrations made by 1 May 2026. The event awards finishers 3 iTRA points. After the race, there is an awards ceremony and a party with traditional food, including BBQ with polenta, cheese and homemade bread. The race is open to runners, hikers and walkers, with a minimum age of 18 for the 100 km race; the 8 km race is open to all ages. The event includes accommodation at Casa Ileana in Fundu Moldovei, awards iTRA points and attracts international participants.
