The Porolissum Half Marathon is an annual mountain race held in the heart of history, in the area of the Roman Castrum Porolissum in Moigrad, Sălaj County. The event offers three distinct races: the 23 km Half Marathon, the Salamanders Race of 12 km, and the 1.6 km Circuit of the Ramparts, suitable for runners of all levels. The routes combine the challenge of mountain running with spectacular landscapes and historical elements, making them ideal for nature and history enthusiasts. Organizers ensure a complete experience with hydration points, timing, and an awards ceremony.

Kit pickup is on Friday, September 25, 2026, between 15:00 and 20:00 at the Sports Hall of the Avram Iancu Sports High School in Zalău, and on Saturday, September 26, 2026, between 07:30 and 11:30 at the start area at the Amphitheater in the Roman Castrum Porolissum. The event officially begins at 09:00, with the 23 km race starting at 09:45, the 12 km race at 10:15, and the 1.6 km race at 13:00. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 14:00. The organizer reserves the right to modify the schedule until September 20, 2026. The event also includes the 23 km race with special conditions for minor participants and is held under estimated temperatures between 16-18°C.
